Technical delegate of ICSD: These are the best games in the history

After two days of competitions a technical delegate of Winter Deaflympics 2015 in Magnitogorsk (Chelyabinsk region) Michael Schmauser has shared his impressions about this international sport event.

— What can you say about the alpine skiing center? Is everything organized well for the competitions here?

— I came here for the first time around a year ago to check the trails and the level of organization. Everything is well-done, this is the best venue for such competitions. The alpine skiing center meets all our requirements and international standards. The trails could be compared with the trails in Sochi.

— Did you have any comments and criticism on the process of getting ready for the Deaflympics?

— All organizational issues — volunteers, transport, spectators, referees, etc. – were done on the highest level. I am very satisfied! I can state without any doubt that these are the best Winter Deaflympics in the history.

— What can you say about alpine skiing in Russia?

— This is a rather new sport for Russia, however the number of Russian athletes participating in international competitions is growing every year. This is a very pleasant thing.
